Known as a Pi Pisuwe, this exquisite dagger is made of Cassowary bone and embellished with Cassowary feathers at the pommel. The dagger was formerly carried by the Asmat tribe and used used as a ceremonial dagger in ritual killings. In present times, the Papuans adorn the dagger on the side of their waist as part of the traditional attire during traditional ceremonies.
All pieces are traditionally handcrafted which is why no two pieces are the same. Each has a slight difference in size, shape and/or color contributing to the uniqueness and originality of each beautiful piece.
