Stemming from Nias, the largest of the islands of Sumatra, this beautiful piece represents the most important method of transportation for the Nias people. Intricately carved out of Albasia wood, it depicts the Nias tribesmen sailing across the ocean.
All pieces are traditionally handcrafted which is why no two pieces are the same. Each has a slight difference in size, shape and/or color contributing to the uniqueness and originality of each beautiful piece.
