This exquisite piece has been hand carved out of Suar Wood, more commonly known as Flare wood, by local artisans of Lombok using traditional techniques and is complimented by Cowrie Shells.
The sculpture depicts the Rinjani Scops Owl, which is a species of scope owl found only in Lombok and its neighboring Gilli Islands.
All pieces are traditionally handcrafted which is why no two pieces are the same. Each has a slight difference in size, shape and/or color contributing to the uniqueness and originality of each beautiful piece.
