Fossilised Sea Coral Mask of Sumba

From the island of Sumba, these masks are made of fossilised sea coral. Masks have great significance both traditionally and religiously where this mask serves as a symbol of protection. 

All pieces are traditionally handcrafted which is why no two pieces are the same. Each has a slight difference in size, shape and/or color contributing to the uniqueness and originality of each beautiful piece.

This mask measures 24 cm in height, stand inclusive.
