Hakisan Roda Kayu - Wooden Wheel of Java

This stunning piece from Java is made out of teak wood and has been eroded by nature. Traditionally, it was used for transportation of carriages or wagons where wheels were made out of disc-shaped wood with holes to fit axles. In present days, the wheels are made with iron rims.

All pieces are traditionally handcrafted which is why no two pieces are the same. Each has a slight difference in size, shape and/or color contributing to the uniqueness and originality of each beautiful piece.

The wooden wheel measures at 75 cm in diameter and 90 cm in height.
