This exquisite headpiece from Papua is born as a ceremonial headdress in traditional events. It is also traditionally gifted as a dowry and served as a form of currency. Handcrafted by artisans of Papua, this beautiful piece is made of Coffee Bean shells, Cowrie shells, and red seeds embroidered on traditional macramé.

All pieces are traditionally handcrafted which is why no two pieces are the same. Each has a slight difference in size, shape and/or color contributing to the uniqueness and originality of each beautiful piece.
