Papuan Black Feather and Shell Necklace

A conversation starter, this stunning necklace is handmade by the artisans of Papua and adorned by the Papuan tribe. The necklace is bordered by Cassowary feathers and includes two Ovula Shells on each side with the focal point on the central Shell disc pendant.

The Cassowary bird is native to the tropical forests of New Guinea (Papua & Indonesia), East Nusa Tenggara, the Maluku Islands, and northeastern Australia. 

All pieces are traditionally handcrafted which is why no two pieces are the same. Each has a slight difference in size, shape and/or color contributing to the uniqueness and originality of each beautiful piece.
