This beautiful wooden statue can be found in most homes in Timor and is defined as a symbol of health and safe-keeping. The statue is made by the local artisans of Timor from the islands of Lesser Sundas. The indigenous people are well known for their high-spirited carving traditions.
All pieces are traditionally handcrafted which is why no two pieces are the same. Each has a slight difference in size, shape and/or color contributing to the uniqueness and originality of each beautiful piece.
