Roda Kayu - Teak Wooden Wheel of Java

This piece from Java made out of teak wood was used for transportation of carriages or wagons. Originally wheels were made out of disc-shaped wood with holes to fit axles before wheels being made with iron rims.

All pieces are traditionally handcrafted which is why no two pieces are the same. Each has a slight difference in size, shape and/or color contributing to the uniqueness and originality of each beautiful piece.

This beautiful wheel measures 46 cm in diameter and 59 cm in height - stand inclusive.
